Connect.Ed’s multidisciplinary team helps educators better understand and support adult learners with ADHD, using a neuro-affirming, strengths-based approach.
ADHD affects attention, focus, impulse control and emotional regulation, which can influence learning, organisation and daily tasks.
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn how ADHD can present differently in adults and challenge common myths
- Use respectful, strengths-based language that builds learner confidence
- Explore strategies to support attention, memory, organisation and emotional regulation
- Identify practical classroom adjustments to improve engagement and reduce overwhelm
ACE and VET educators who want to understand and support ADHD adult learners.
This session is also suitable for student support staff and staff involved in curriculum, learning design and quality.
To be eligible for this training, you must:
- Work for an organisation with a Funded Activities Agreement (FAA) with the South Australian Government, or be TAFE SA; AND
- Deliver, or help deliver, publicly funded VET and/or ACE in South Australia.
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
- Understand how ADHD shows up in adults
- Use practical strategies to build learner confidence
- Make changes to the learning environment to better support ADHD adult learners.
